Satellite Direct Review

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

If you’re looking for the Satellite Direct download site, you can find that here.  Otherwise, read on for my Satellite Direct review.

You’re here because you’re looking for the scoop on Satellite Direct, and I’m here because I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago.  Before buying the product, I anxiously looked around for a Satellite Direct review, but I couldn’t really find anything that seemed like it gave me the info I was looking for.

I’m Adam, and I’m a college student living off campus.  I’m on a pretty tight budget, and the idea of something like Satellite Direct sounded great to me when I found out about it.  Like anything I buy online, it’s good to know the pros and cons of any product in advance, so I looked for the information.

I ran a quick search (like you might have just done), and after seeing a few respected sites talking up the product (and one Satellite Direct review that gave it an innovation award), I figured it was a safe buy.  They also confirmed that it’s perfectly legal to use this product.  I ended up downloading the software later that night, and I had no problem installing it.

Here’s Satellite Direct’s download page, which you may have already seen.

From there, I was watching TV on my computer less than 20 minutes later.  I wasn’t about to cancel my cable service just yet, but I had a nice first impression of the software.  The sound was good, nothing was skipping or freezing up, and there were a LOT of channels to choose from.  It was almost overwhelming at first, but it’s easy to navigate the channels once you get used to it after an hour or so.

The picture quality was really great.  It’s just as good as the quality on TV, only it’s on my monitor.  Speaking of which, it’s really easy to hook right into a plasma or other TV, as long as you have a cheap cable connector that they sell in stores.  I’ve tried Satellite Direct twice for watching movies, but I’m pretty lazy otherwise and usually just watch from bed.

The only bad thing I’d say is that it didn’t have my college TV station, but that’s to be expected since only people in the dorms get it.  Satellite Direct has just about everything you’d get on a regular TV otherwise, plus a ton of international channels too.  I stick to the American channels most of the time, but the ones from other countries are kind of interesting.

All in all, I don’t see how this thing won’t be really popular in a year or two.  There’s really not much reason to keep on paying for cable when options like these exist.  It’s only a matter of time before the word continues to spread.

About Satellite Direct Review

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Hi everyone,

My name’s Adam, and I’ve created this site to provide some much needed information about Satellite Direct.  This is a new product that’s gotten a lot of attention in recent months, and rightly so.  The idea of watching thousands of TV channels in HD quality without ever having to pay another cable bill again is a great one.

Anyway, this is a new product and many people are wondering if it’s as good as it seems it could be.  That’s where my reviews will come into play.

To start out, I’ll be providing a Satellite Direct review based on experience, and I’ll also be updating this site with any new information about this product.
